Is It Legal To Sell My Diabetic Test Strips?

Yes!, you can sell your diabetic test strips if you are the legal owner of them.

Anyone can buy test strips, even without a prescription, so as long as you buy the test strips yourself, or receive them legally through an insurance company, you are free to sell them. Diabetic test strips can be bought over the counter at places like drug stores, pharmacies, Wal-Mart – and it is 100% legal to resell over the counter products.

Even if your boxes are marked “mail order only” or “not for retail” you can still sell them – this just means they can’t be sold through a retailer.

Bear in mind that if your boxes were received from Medicare or Medicaid, and are marked as such (they usually have a red band at the bottom with the words “For the Use of Medicare/Medicaid Beneficiaries Only” printed on them) those boxes cannot be resold.

How Many Boxes Of Diabetic Test Strips Can I Sell?

Unlimited!

If you’re selling diabetic test strips in bulk, then you can sell your test strips to us, no matter how many extra boxes you have.

BUT be sure you keep enough to use – don’t sell your last box and get caught without when you need to test!

We do not have a minimum number of boxes you can send for most diabetic test strip brands.

Can I Sell Expired Diabetic Test Strips?

 No

No, you can’t. People who use these test strips rely on them to be accurate, and as they do (just like medicine) have chemicals that eventually break down, it becomes more difficult to trust the results as time goes by.

While some meters can be “re-set” to fool them as to the age of the strips placed in them, it is highly unethical to try to sell expired diabetic test strips, as people’s lives can depend on the information they receive from testing their blood sugar!

Who pays for shipping?

We do! We will cover all of your shipping costs. We ask that you use either USPS First Class or Priority Mail (not 2 Day Priority Mail, it’s too expensive). Ship to us in a sturdy box to protect the strips, and allow the shipping cost to be shown on the shipping label. We reimburse you for your shipping charges when we pay you for your test strips.©

If you request a label when submitting your quote, we will email you a postage paid mailing label for you to print out on your home printer, so you can mail us your strips at no upfront cost to you. PDF shipping labels are emailed to you within minutes of your quote submission. (Check your spam folder if you don’t see your shipping label in your regular email).©

If you request a shipping kit, we will mail you a box, a postage paid, pre-printed shipping label, and tape. All you need to do is put your supplies in the box, tape it up, affix the label and drop it off at the post office. Please allow up to 6 business days to receive your shipping kit.©

Should I Remove My Personal Information Label On The Test Strips?

Please do not! If your boxes have labels, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THEM as this can damage the boxes and reduce their value or even make them worthless. Please be assured that we will remove and shred all labels before resale. If you absolutely must mark out personal information, here are some tips© :

  • – do not use a marker that will bleed through the label and damage the box
  • – do not scribble outside the label and mark up the box
  • – do not use a sharp pen that carves grooves in the test strip box

Do You Purchase Damaged Boxes?

YES…. Prices quoted on Damaged boxes are based upon inspection of each damaged box .
We Absolutely Can Buy Those as long as the Seal is intact

How Much Are Diabetic Test Strips Worth?

Several factors determine the value of test strips when selling.

  • – Market demand (how well test strips sell and how many are available) is the largest factor.
  • – Condition and expiration date of your supplies are the other factors.
  • – Mint condition with no damage gives you the most value for your supplies. Dings, dents, tears, and markings all reduce the value of test strips or insulin supplies.
  • – The further out the expiration date is, the more valuable the boxes are.
  • – Expired and opened supplies are worthless for resale.

Do You Accept International Products?

NO. Due to FDA regulations, we cannot accept International products at this time.
